Irish Origenes features on Irish lives remembered

I recently wrote a short article on the Castles of Kilkenny for the exciting new freely accessible on-line Genealogy magazine called Irish Lives remembered. The exciting thing about this new Genealogy magazine is that it approaches genealogy from both the traditional paper trail end but also using the DNA approach! The two approaches to genealogy should not exclude each other but should complement one another.

The article describes the castles of Kilkenny, a county which remained one of the focal point of Norman settlement in Ireland. The full article can be read here. There is also a competition to win a copy of each of the Irish Origenes maps; Clans of Ireland, Surnames of Ireland, and Castles of Ireland. Its a fantastic new resource developed by Eileen Munnelly and I wish them all the success in the future.
